CHECKING THE CARBS::

- Float state: No cracks, truns freely around his axle
- Float needle: Perfect state, replace if necessary
- Float height: Put the carb in a vertical position, the float in place on the float needle, the heigh must be 18mm beetween the top of the float and the float bowl gasket
- Throttle slides: Not worn or used, no scratches. In extrem cases, we have seen some cracked slides, the small parts being aspired in the engine! The worn cause
is due more to the lateral forces of breathing than to the up/down acceleration movements. Check the correct model, 60/2, sometimes 70/1 for the 1000/1200.
- Choke plungers. No scratches, very clean. You can clean them with a metal polish but you need to replace them if they are worn. Slightly lube them.
- Needle/needle jets: No scratches with a magnifier. Don't hesiate to chenge them. Check the right model, K1 or K14 for instance.
- Jets: Check the values
- Replace all the seals and gaskets and also the seals of the inlet stubs, fit Viton ones. If fitted, check the thermic spacers state.

- Check the pumps (if fitted), change the membranes (included in the gaskets kit)
- Clean the carbs in a special carb cleaner or better in an ultrasonic system.
- If the carbs are worn, no other way than replace tehm by new ones.
